Del Richardson and Associates, Inc. (DRA) is managing the Voluntary Neighborhood Acquisition and Relocation Program for eligible property owners and tenants in certain segments of the Hillcrest and Washington-Coles neighborhoods in the City of Corpus Christi, Texas. .

How can I find out about meetings regarding the Acquisition Program?

Response:
The Harbor Bridge website will publish meeting notices. Meeting notices will also be published in the Corpus Christi Caller-Times. The Port Authority and TxDOT will be reaching out to neighborhood residents and homeowners via U.S mail, email and through outreach to neighborhood churches and organizations. Information will also be posted at Oveal Williams Senior Citizen’s Center. Residents and homeowners can also call the Port Authority Community Relations Department at (361) 885-6115.

Which homes in the Hillcrest Area are being acquired?

When will homeowners receive an offer for their property?

Response:
An official notification from the Port of Corpus Christi Authority will be sent May 7, 2016, to eligible property owners expressing an interest in buying their property on a voluntary basis and requesting a written expression of interest from the eligible property owner who may be interested in selling their property.

What is the Community Liaison Program?

Response:
The City of Corpus Christi’s Community Liaison Program will provide information and assistance to try to ensure that each interested person is appropriately knowledgeable about the benefits and options available to them. The Port Authority and TxDOT will ensure The Liaison has an office facility will be within the Hillcrest/Washington-Coles Neighborhoods or within 1000 feet thereof, which will serve as a Field Office. The Liaison will be properly trained in the knowledge and skills to adequately provide assistance to interested parties. Liaison services will either be provided by the Liaison in English and Spanish or the Liaison will be able to provide easy access to an individual or individuals who are fluent in English and Spanish.
